Take off the navy glasses DJC. Half of those players won't be on the list in a year or 2, their form is far from AFL level form.

Let's revisit that in two years.

I'd say Evans will be gone and Binns will have to find some form to stay but the rest will be fixtures.

I think this might be a 'make or break' year for Wilson.
He shows a bit from time to time but not enough to press for senior time.

Moir is an enigma.
Could be 'anything' or not make it...he's also a bit of a wait and see.

I also have hopes for the others....

Lemmey is getting better.
Boyd is unlucky not to be in the side. There is obviously something he's been asked to work on.

Subject to getting through our main training session, we have eight players named on an extended bench.  At the risk of offending sentimentalists, the only one of that eight whose form doesn’t really warrant selection is Doc … but he may have trained the house down this week.

The bottom line is that it’s likely that there will be three players who are stiff not to make the final 23.  Then there’s the likes of Pitto, Lemmey, Boyd, Charleson, Binns and Evans, whose VFL form must have pleased the MC, and the Camporeale twins, Moir, O’Farrell and Wilson aren’t far off.

I suspect that a few other clubs would love to have our depth.

So let's move on the the current election.  Was reading through our independents policies and came across one i found interesting.  They want to do away with stamp duty and implement a land tax instead.  Now personally I read this and thought how disgraceful.  I've paid my whack of stamp duty why should I now have to continue paying land tax because of policy change?

Is this only going to apply for new purchases?

What's to stop the degree of land tax shifting?

Very dissapointed to see but curious, what do people think of this?

I've been a teacher for more than 40 years. I can't say that teaching today is any better than it was when I started, for all the changes there have been. There is more support for teachers now, but student quality has not improved, nor had student behaviour. I've taught some shockers over the years, but the lack of respect now is at an all time high.

That said, our tertiary education is still more than decent, even if students spend nowhere near as much time on campus. In my 3rd year, I was rarely out of the lab and only to go to lectures. Now lab time is much less. Much less.

This is a global phenomenon, if reports from teachers all over the world are anything to go by.

I just noticed that number plates identify Victoria as the "Education State".

What a joke.  More accurate options would include "Bankrupt State", "Lawless State" and "Socialist State".

Any other suggestions?

A bit harsh EB, do you think he was corrupt or just liked to dictate and rule his way? From a leadership perspective I see similarities between him and Kennett.
GTC I see him as corrupt, doesnt have any memory on missing money or who signed for what, happy to throw his own ministers under the bus to save his own hide and you have respected identities like ex Police chief Kel Glare calling the Andrews Govt the most corrupt he has seen in his lifetime. How many investigations did the Anti-corruption Commission have into the Andrews government four or five?
He was a great Dictator/Politician for sure and wrote the playbook for how to survive as a corrupt leader mainly thanks to such an inept Opposition but he has totally fecked Victoria and got away with it and to see him feted as some CoVid hero makes me want to vomit...
Yeah forgot about the "I dont recall" line he and all his chronies trotted out during the covid f-up investigation. How can so many investigations not uncover anything substantial? We criticise other countries and ours is just as bad if not worse.
