Everybody should strive to be consistent, to hold people to high standards apply it equally to all from any perspective. When people start making exceptions or become plastic in assessment this is what will cause disputes and deliver opportunities to those who are corrupt. I've heard a few extremists / MAGA types bandy about the term "Globalist" like it is a slur, on the dreaded FacePlant I've even been labelled as much by someone I suspect didn't have a dictionary to look up the meaning.
It's interesting how a hard fact can become a slur.
Fundamentally we are all Globalists in nature because the globe of the planet actually exists, it the countries, boundaries, regions and states that all fake constructs of society, non of them exist in nature at all!

@PaulP I don't think they have to "let" anything happen, it's going to happen eventually if we maintain this path.
That's probably my big fear, that when the sh1t hits the fan the damage done will set back genuine carbon emission reduction efforts for decades. Forget all the good energy, green energy bad energy bullsh1zen, there is and should be only one focus, reduction of carbon emissions to zero, and getting there in the fastest possible time with secure and stable energy supply, doing so will take a blend of every technology we have access to and probably some we haven't yet invented.
The debate between solar, wind, nuclear, hydrogen and other low carbon options is disingenuous, it's really a corporate debate about winning market share, paying dividends and making profits. What is good for the planet through reduced carbon emission isn't a genuine consideration, all the main participants in this debate are really chasing profit first.
I get people playing these games, and in small doses they are OK, but I know people(adults not kids) who play them 8 hrs a day, it rots the brain!
